The Cabin
Welcome to the Roberts' family cabin located in the beautiful Fishlake National Forest, near Manning Meadows Reservoir. At approximately 10,000 feet in elevation, the cabin is surrounded by lush aspens and tall pine trees, with a serene view of the Manning meadow and reservoir.
ATVs and side-by-side off-road vehicles are common in this area, since there are nearly a thousand miles of designated Forest Service maintained trails and roads. This trail system is known as the Paiute and is a very popular destination due to the beauty, trails and historical sites.

Manning Meadows Reservoir
Fishermen, kayakers and canoeists can be seen fishing for trout on the reservoir and along the shoreline. Nature lovers enjoy the reservoir's beauty and quiet stillness in row boats and peddle boats.
Ranch hands, on their horses, moseying along with their Great Pyrenees sheep dogs and tending their charges usually numbering in the hundreds. The sheep's bleating as they migrate through the meadows is quite entertaining.
Experience the Wildlife
Sitting on the front porch, you can often see elk, deer, bald eagles and hawks, along with chipmunks, squirrels, quail, marmots, song birds and the occasional coyote.
Ranch hands on horseback, moseying along with their Great Pyrenees sheep dogs and herds numbering in the hundreds, are a common and entertaining sight across the meadow. Although black bear, moose and cougars are in the mountains, we haven't seen them yet.

Domestic cattle free-range in the meadow, filling the air with the sounds of contentment as they feed on the rich grasses at 10,000 feet.
Inside the Cabin
Three bedrooms, a full kitchen, family room, dining room, telescope room, and a loft give you everything you need for a comfortable stay at altitude. Two TVs, a washer and dryer, running water, electricity, and heat mean you're well taken care of — plus a fire pit outside for the evenings.
Activities in the area include hiking, fishing, boating (row boat, kayaks and canoe), sightseeing, ATV trails, lake swimming and simply taking in the views.
